Making A Difference
The Keep Wisconsin Warm Fund is a statewide, non-profit,
public/private partnership that steps in and keeps the heat and power on
for thousands of families in crisis. Many of these households pay between
50-60% of their monthly income toward energy costs.
During this time of economic instability and increasing
lay-offs, it is easy for the most vulnerable in our communities to fall
between the cracks, leaving many to face life-threatening emergencies.
Heat, a basic necessity, has become an unaffordable luxury for thousands
of families who have nowhere else to turn.
95% of those helped by KWWF are elderly, disabled or families with young
children. The Keep Wisconsin Warm Fund is committed to providing a safety
net for these most vulnerable populations.
Applications for the KWWF are taken at
Energy Assistance offices throughout the state.
